Cabernet Foods is delighted to announce that on Thursday the 12th of October we were awarded NZ Food Awards Winner for our “Everton Dry Aged Beef” in the Chilled Short Shelf Life Category at the prestigious awards ceremony held at Sky City Auckland and run by Massey University.
The New Zealand Food awards are in their 30th year and attract over 800 entries each year across all food production sectors.
Massey University owns and organises the awards, recognizing creativity, innovation and excellence. Each year the awards celebrate new initiatives in food and beverage production and manufacturing, identifying not only company leaders who inspire others to meet their standards of excellence, but the creative work of product innovators in packaging design, nutrition, enterprise, food safety and quality.
Cabernet were also finalists in the James Wells Business Innovation Award, open to all entrants. This award recognises, business strategy, initiatives, improvements, process control, waste reduction, skill and collaboration with customers in product development.
Everton Dry Aged Beef is three years in the making. Observing, testing, trialling and showcasing at many expos. Taking beef cuts with traditional aging methods in mind, applying new technology and hygienic processes to create an eating experience of natural flavours and tenderness almost forgotten.
